Kelsey Shelton Briggs

Kelsey Briggs was born in Oklahoma on December 28, 2002 after her father, Lance Brigg and mother, Raye Dawn Smith were divorced. Kelsey lived with her mom, but she loves spending time with her daddy. The first two years of her life, Kelsey was a healthy, energetic, happy little girl. In the beginning of 2005, Kelsey's mom, Raye Dawn Smith began dating a man called Michael Lee Porter. Around this time, the first signs of abuse towards Kelsey were noticed. Mid January of 2005, Kelsey suffered a broken collarbone and bruises while in the care of mom, Raye Dawn Smith. Kelsey was moved to her paternal grandmother, Kathie Briggs on the 24th of January 2005. At April 2005, Kelsey was still in Kathie's care but visited her mom regularly. Raye Dawn Smith married Michael Lee Porter on the 18th of April 2005. Kelsey was always brave. She was daddy's little soldier. At the end of April 2005, while in the care of her mother, Kelsey broke both her legs. May 3rd 2005, Kelsey was placed in States Department Human Services custody. Kelsey was moved to her maternal grandmother, Gayla Smith on the 4th of May 2005. In June 15, 2005, Judge Craig Key returned Kelsey back to her mother. After stating Kelsey's abuser was unknown. August 27, 2005, Kathie Briggs saw her granddaughter, Kelsey one last time.

October 11, 2005, Kelsey's stepfather, Michael Lee Porter, apparently hit or kicked Kelsey in the stomach so hard, it killed her. Her death was ruled a homicide, due to blunt force trauma to the abdomen. Kelsey died just days before her father came home from the war. Instead of a happy homecoming, he had to bury his little girl. Kelsey had a purpose in life. Kelsey Shelton Briggs was put here to make a difference. To make sure other children are protected. A law was passed in her name. Kelsey's stepfather, Michael Lee Porter is currently serving 30 years in prison. He has no possibility of parole for 25.5 years. Kelsey's mom, Raye Dawn Smith was sentenced to 27 years in prison for enabling child abuse

Where Is The Hope For Our Children?

Case 1 :

A mother suffocated her newborn child with her own hands because she didn't felt like feeding the baby and the crying was driving her insane. Shaquana Bennett, 34, told neighbors she had fed her infant son, Tuquan, 9 weeks old, early Sunday morning. He wanted to eat again at 4 p.m. and wouldn’t keep still. The mother has 4 other children who have since been removed from the home. Good thing since their mom will likely spend many years in prison if this baby is to ever find justice. The father of the murdered infant returned home from an errand to find his son dead and was apparently devastated.


Case 2 :

A 17 year old boy was accused of sodomizing and breaking multiple bones of an 8 month old baby boy. Police say the autopsy report also noted multiple fractures throughout the body consistent with that of a beating. The child also had tears in the anus. According to Normand, Ross initially told detectives the infant fell down the stairs while he was babysitting the child and stopped breathing. Investigators say that a neighbor had heard loud noises coming from the apartment where the baby was later found dead.


Case 3 :

In India on June 7, 2001. The parents of the 14 month old boy left their child outside of their house while they went inside to have sex. Their neighbor noticed the child outside sleeping and since parents were not present, his deviated sexual desires took over and he proceeded with abduction. The boy was sodomized and once the attacker was done with his rape, he choked the child to death.

Baby Briana Lopez

Baby Briana Lopez is not even 6 months old when she died from child abuse on July 19th 2002 in Mexico. Baby Briana was found dead with massive bruises on her head & her little fingers were broken. She has bite marks on her head, arms, legs, toes, torsoe. Literally EVERYWHERE.

Investigators states that baby Briana's mother, Stephanie Lopez, her uncle, Steven Lopez & father, Andy Walter was responsible to the death of baby Briana. Father, Andy and uncle, Steven, threw baby Briana at the ceiling and let her slam to the ground. They also raped her tons of times over and over again. Mom, beatens her child occasionally while the other bruises remains still, a mystery.

Mother, Stephanie Lopez was found not guilty of charg but was sentenced 27 years in prison for neglection of child resulting in death.. 22 year old, Andy Walter was convicted with criminal sexual penetration and abusive conspiracy. He was sentence to 57 years in prison.
Uncle, Steven Lopez, was charged with the same conviction as Andy Walter and is sentences to 51 years in prison. Grandmother, Patricia Walter and uncle, Robert Walter was sentenced to 60 days in jail for failing to report the abuse of baby Briana's life after knowing about the abuse.

Summer Marie Phelps

Beautiful Summer Marie Phelps was born on the 6th of July 2002 to Elizabeth Phelps & Jonathan Lytle. She was a sweet little red-head girl who was always happy. In the year 2006, Summer moved in with Daddy, Jonathan Lytle & new Stepmom, Adriana Lytle. Adriana was not happy with the fact that Summer is moving in to live with them. On March 10th 2006, Jonathan brought a lifeless Summer to the emergency room. Summer died on arrival. When interviewed by detectives, this was what Jonathan & Adriana said happened:

On that particular morning, Summer woke up and peed her pants. They said they made her stand in the tub for 10 hours to wash the dirty clothes. Adriana was walking pass the bathroom when she noticed Summer was not moving and only her nose was sticking out of the water. They tried to recusitate her with their hands and feets but Summer was gone.

Summer was covered with bruises and human bite marks. She was horribly abused and tortured. She was forced to wear a dog shock collar and was beaten with a buckled belt. She was also beaten with spoons and forced to tear up pizza boxes in tiny pieces. Not only was Summer beaten, Summer was burnt. Jonathan and Adriana lytle are awaiting trials for Summer's death. When the trial was over, Jonathan was sentenced to 75 years in prison while Adriana was sentence to 62.3 years in prison.
